QWhat if a barcode can't be read?

Use "Enter ISBN" or "Search by title or author" at the bottom of the recording screen. If neither finds the book, use "Record manually" to enter a cover photo, title and amount.

QCan I record e-books?

E-books without an ISBN can be recorded with "Record manually".

QThe deposit amount shows 0

Books whose list price is unknown are recorded as 0. Tap the line in the passbook to open the statement, then fix it with "Change" next to the deposit amount.

Books imported from other apps may later be filled in with list prices from the National Diet Library Search.

QWhere do books I want to read go?

Books you have not bought yet go to "Want to read" on the Library tab. Add them with "I haven't bought it yet—add to Want to read" on a book's slip, or with "Add a book" on the Want to read shelf.

When you buy it, tap "Record" on that book to record it in your passbook as is.

QWhat does the calendar show?

Covers appear on the days you recorded the books. Tap a day to see the books recorded that day.

With the Super Mokumoku Plan, release dates of series you follow for new releases also appear. If a release is scheduled, you can look ahead to future months.

QCan I move from another reading app?

From "Import from other apps (CSV)" on My Page, you can import CSV files exported by Goodreads and others, or any CSV with ISBNs. Before importing, you will see the list of books and amounts to record.

Books already in your passbook are skipped, so choosing the same file twice does not add them twice.

QWill my records survive a phone change?

Records are stored on this device. If you deposit them with "Deposit your passbook (backup)" in the Super Mokumoku Plan, you can restore them on a new device by signing in with the same Apple ID or Google account.

Even without the plan, export a file with "Export history (CSV)" on My Page and import it on the new device with "Import from other apps (CSV)". Books you want to read are not yet included in backups or exports.

QCan I sign in with both Apple and Google?

Yes. On My Page, open "Account" and tap the one you are not signed in with (such as "Connect Google too"). With both connected, you can sign in with one to return to the same passbook even if you lose access to the other.

If the account you try to connect is already used by another Mokumoku account, it cannot be connected (you will never be moved away from your current account without notice).

QHow do I change the passbook design?

Choose from "Passbook design" on My Page. The standard navy passbook is for everyone; the other 8 designs come with the Super Mokumoku Plan. Changing the design changes the passbook cover, the colors of the whole app and the home screen icon together.

QWhat are new release alerts?

A Super Mokumoku Plan feature. Register a series from a book's statement with "Notify me of new volumes", and you will be notified when a new volume is announced and on the morning of its release. Release dates also appear on the calendar.

QHow do I cancel the Super Mokumoku Plan?

On iPhone or iPad, go to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel the plan.

When the plan ends, your deposited passbook is deleted 7 days later. It is not deleted if you return to the plan before then.

QHow do I delete my account?

Android: Go to My Page → "Account" → "Delete account" at the bottom. If you started with Apple or Google, you sign in once more with the same account to confirm.

iPhone and iPad: Go to My Page → "Deposit passbook (backup)" → "Delete account".

What is deleted: your account (the identifier and email address used to sign in) and any deposited passbook (books, reading notes and cover photos). They are deleted right away and cannot be restored. The passbook on your device stays.

If you have already deleted the app, email ryo.tsuzukihashi@tsuzukit.com with the email address of the Apple ID or Google account you signed in with. After confirming it is you, we delete the same data.
